Two days without barbells?


It's true, we just went two days without using barbells. Well, don't worry, we'll remedy that today. Going overhead! Come in and get your strength workout in.

If you're thinking about coming in but feeling nervous because you're new to strength training or because you're out of shape, here are two things to think about:
1. Come to our noon class!  It's a less popular time, so you'll get plenty of instructor attention without worrying about a room full of people.
2. Take a deep breath and just jump in. Don't worry about what anyone else is thinking of you. Everyone has to start somewhere, and you'll find there are plenty of other beginners in our classes. We welcome people who are inexperienced at training because you are starting with a clean slate and have a chance to learn excellent form from the ground up. We are not a meathead gym and will not tolerate anything like that. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses, and the person next to you who looks so tough may be feeling intimidated by your amazing deadlift or rowing prowess next month. You don't know where you will end up, but you have to come in to start your journey!
