Technical lifts take lots of work


The video above shows EJ doing a clean and jerk. Keep working hard, and someday your clean and jerks may look this good! Remember not to get too frustrated with the Olympic lifts and our seemingly endless corrections. These are highly technical movements and no one learns them overnight. Keep tweaking your form and you will get stronger and more graceful.

By getting 20 good reps in yesterday, you learned a lot. Practicing with heavy weight under some fatigue helps to dial in your form, as you may have noticed toward the end of the workout. That said, we won't let you go so heavy that your form falls apart. Think back to when you first tried some of the movements we do in the gym. We're proud of the progress all of you have made!
