We are the nerd gym

In case it's escaped your notice, we are quickly shaping up as the nerd gym. I mean this in the best possible way. Our coaches and members have, among them, a lot of advanced degrees and accomplishments. We have doctors, entrepreneurs, scientists, artists, mechanical engineers, software engineers, aerospace engineers, and smart people from a wide array of fields. To me, being a nerd means you love learning more than you care about being cool. I'm so pleased to see like-minded people coming in and joining us in this crazy adventure of starting a gym. I love talking to all of you about what you do and what you know about. I love discussing health and fitness with you, as everyone brings their own expertise and perspective to the conversation. Mike loves chatting about nerdy stuff between sets - helps calm his brain. I probably do not ask enough questions about what you all do and think about and know about, but I am going to make more of an effort because I'm really interested.

This is a bit rambly, but my point is, you are a smart crew, and I love the energy that generates and the atmosphere it cultivates. I appreciate all of your insights and points of view.

Remember, the introduction to rowing starts today at 5:30. Come meet Kevin and get some instruction on how to row. At the end of the month, we'll do a 2k test and you'll have the option to continue with the rowing program all fall.
