Coming up: kettlebell program

Kettlebells, anyone? In the fall, a few of us did a 4-week kettlebell program with special kettlebell warm-ups, skill work, and workouts twice a week. It was a good mix of skill work and strength work, and I saw really nice improvements in everyone who completed the program.

Kettlebells are a wonderful tool for building strength, balance, coordination, explosive power, conditioning, and mental toughness. There are many weights to choose from, so you can start light and gradually work your way up. Since you can work on one side at a time, the movements can be quicker to learn than the barbell movements, and there is so much fun stuff to work on and interesting ways train with kettlebells.

I'd like to do another kettlebell program starting soon. This one will be very novice-friendly, building from the ground up with the different movements and really focusing on quality of movement and keeping it fun with timed workouts. If you're new to kettlebells, this is a great way to learn them. If you're more experienced, we will be able to ramp up the skill level and difficulty while giving you a chance to hone your form and revisit the fundamentals. Stay tuned for more details.
