Ladies who lift


Everyone had a great time at the women's weightlifting meetup Saturday. We had a huge turnout with a variety of skill levels, from lifting veterans to several women who are new to weightlifting. Jordan got everyone up to speed on the snatch and clean and jerk and offered support and pointers to the more experienced lifters. It was crowded enough to have 2-3 lifters to a platform, which meant lots of interaction and encouragement. We'll be sure to do one of these every month, so stay tuned for details on the next one.

We'll also be adding a Basic Barbell class as a ground-up introduction to lifting, and Jordan will be adding a women's-only lifting class too. Keep watching this space - we'll announce the times and details once we figure out the schedule.
