Talking strength with the community


Yesterday, I was invited to have a round-table discussion at Blooming Beets Kitchen in North Boulder. I've talked about Blooming Beets before, but for those of you who don't know what it's all about, it's a Paleo-inspired restaurant started by my friend Iva about a year and a half ago. When she first told us about the concept, we were in. I love having a place where I can eat without needing to make substitutions, and I leave feeling good.

Iva has been running Wednesday evening seminars over dinner since last fall, and last night I was there to talk about the importance of strength. We had a small round-table discussion where I got to give all of the rants you hear all of the time from me. It was a great time, and I hope you'll see some new faces around the gym soon - everyone was really positive and, I think, learned something new.

I spend most of my time ranting to you guys, and I know you get it. That's why you're at this gym! It was interesting seeing people who don't know much about strength training (or who think body weight movements are strength training) learn about what we do and why it's important to their health. I love exposing people to our mission of using strength to improve your life.
