We need to focus on more skill practice

Wiry strength, comrade.
We've been letting skill progressions slide lately. Class is pretty packed full with the strength program plus our regular programming. We don't want to add more time to class for skill practice, so we decided to insert some skill practice during your rest time in the strength portion. The plan is to do a small number of reps of a higher-skill movement between sets. We'll probably stick with the same movement all week just to reinforce the practice. We hope that this will give you time and focus to have some dedicated practice on movements that will really help you.

This week we're starting with Turkish Get-ups. Today, after every set of push press (including warm-up sets), do 1 TGU on each side. The weight should be heavy enough that you have to think about it, but not so heavy that it interferes with your workout. During this work, focus on movement and reflecting on what your body is doing.



Workout

push press 5x3
after each set (including warm-up sets), do 1 TGU each side

then

8 rounds
every 2:00
3 snatches (~90%, but perfect)



Endurance Option
