Strength class: a success!

Jordan's Strength and Power class had a great turn out last night. If you've ever wanted a dedicated strength program (without all that pesky cardio), this is an awesomely simple and effective program. I did the workout yesterday and I'm really feeling it today. For me it's nice to have someone doing the programming - It's always hard to program for yourself because you tend to skip the stuff you need but don't like.

This week we're easing into the program. If you don't have a max on a lift that shows up, you get to work up to a heavy single that day. You can join in at any time. Or if you want, you can wait until the next cycle begins at the end of the month.


row 500 / run 400
crawling lunge
10 KB swings or snatches
double KB overhead lunge
10 TGUs or windmills
10 goblet squats
5 pull-ups or push-ups or dips


deadlift 8-5-3x5


5 heavy swings between strength sets

Group Workout

4 rounds for sense of urgency:
5 shoulder-to-overhead
5 pull-ups
10 TTB
