Olympic Weightlifting Camp April 8


We're about three week out from Jordan's full-day Olympic Weightifting Camp on Saturday, April 8. We'll start at 9:00 AM and will have a three hour session in the morning, a break for a BBQ lunch, and a two hour session in the afternoon. We are aiming this at athletes who are familiar with the Olympic lifts and are trying to take their technique to the next level. We will train squats and pulls in the morning and finish the day with a friendly team competition. A full day of instruction will be really good for you, you can really focus on learning technique with lots of feedback.

We are going to limit this to a class size of 12 so that you can get sufficient attention. We're over ½ full now. I'm about to publicize this to the rest of the world (at least beyond my dozen readers), so if you've been thinking about this, get signed up right away.

The full day of instruction, including lunch, will be $250, Barbell Strategy members get a $100 discount.




Warm-up

row 500 / run 400
crawling lunge
10 KB swings or snatches
double KB overhead lunge
10 TGUs or windmills
10 goblet squats
5 pull-ups or push-ups or dips

Strength

deadlift 8-5-3x5

Accessory/Skill

5 heavy swings between strength sets
