I never would have guessed that a soda tax wouldn't have worked


If only somebody could have predicted this.

Last year I said that the soda tax that Boulder unfortunately passed would cause a dependence on money that will go away because of the nature of sin taxes. Philadelphia is seeing that now, and soon Boulder will. By the way, I got turned down for the committee that gets to decide how the Boulder soda tax revenue gets spent. I wonder why.

Don't get me wrong, soda is terrible for you, and no one should drink it. I will try to educate you about it, but I never support stealing from you with a regressive selective tax like this.



Warm-up

crawling lunge
10 KB swings or snatches
double KB overhead lunge
10 TGUs or windmills
10 goblet squats
5 pull-ups or push-ups or dips

Strength

squat 8-5-3x5

Accessory/Skill

2 pull-ups + 2 dips between strength sets

Group Workout

for time:
row 2000m
compare to 6/5/2017

then (optional, if you still have anything left after a 2k test)

4 rounds at a heavy weight:
5L, 5R kettlebell back squat

then

2 minute double kettlebell rack hold
