Golf for the tech industry


After a couple of lively tech discussions last week, I realized that Barbell Strategy is the new golf. Most business deals are made on the golf course, and now all of the nerdy details of technology are being discussed in our weight room.

I love it, it's been helping in my real job to have a place to bounce ideas off others. If you're in the Boulder tech scene and you're not lifting at Barbell Strategy, you're missing out on a great nerd resource.



Warm-up

row 500 / run 400
crawling lunge
10 KB swings or snatches
double KB overhead lunge
10 TGUs or windmills
10 goblet squats
5 pull-ups or push-ups or dips

Strength

power clean 3-2-4x2

Accessory/Skill

5 push-ups between strength sets

Group Workout

10x2 max effort double kettlebell front squat 
*As heavy as possible while maintaining proper mechanics
*If position breaks, adjust weight accordingly 

then

5 rounds as quickly as possible:
5 pull ups
10 box jumps
5 push ups

then

2 minute superman hold
