StrongFirst Barbell


Amy loved the StrongFirst Kettlebell Course Jeremy taught earlier this year. Now we will be hosting a StrongFirst Barbell course. I know I'm not the best marketer in the world: if you are a regular member with us, you'll already already know most of what's covered (though he does teach it better than me). But, if you have friends who want to start strength training and are afraid to commit to a gym this will be an excellent introduction. There's no better instructor in the area than Jeremy. Let your friends know!

If they enjoy the course and join the gym afterwards, you'll be able to get that coveted special edition shirt (Mark and Josh are the only two who are guaranteed a shirt right now).

Speaking of Jeremy teaching courses - he's so good and in demand that he'll be out east for the next week. So, we won't have any Hardstyle Kettlebell classes this Friday and all of next week. If you're a die-hard kettlebeller and haven't been to any of our S&C classes, take this opportunity to stop by and meet Isabella or me. 



Warm-up

row 500 / run 400
crawling lunge
10 KB swings or snatches
double KB overhead lunge
10 TGUs or windmills
10 goblet squats
5 pull-ups or push-ups or dips

Strength

deadlift 5-3-2-3x2

Accessory/Skill

5 heavy swings between strength sets

Group Workout

50 hand to hand kettlebell swing at a challenging weight
50 1-arm kettlebell swing at 50% of above  

then 

as quickly as possible, 2 rounds:
60 Bodyweight Lunge
20 Box Jump
20 Straight Jump

then

2 minute hinge hold
